Tennis

The University of Michigan Club Tennis Team is a co-ed, student-run organization usually made up of 40 to 45 members, comprised equally of girls and guys, undergraduate and graduate students. The members compete in the the Mid-West league through the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Tennis On Campus Program. At the end of the season each league competes in a regional tournament, and if successful goes on to play in the Club Tennis National Tournament. The team competes against both universities within the state of Michigan and around the country.

Yes, tryouts are early in the fall semester; contact the club president for more information.

What is the best way to join?

Come to the informational meetings (Dates will be posted on the website), or contact a club officer.

How often does your club compete?

Usually every weekend, although you are not required to be at all the matches.

Are there club dues?

Yes, there are dues each semester. Tryouts cost $20 and dues for the full year are around $150.

Does the club provide the necessary equipment? Or do members need to bring their own?

Members use their own racquets and shoes (non-marking). The club provides balls and facilities.
