Our new climbing classes are starting on Monday, March 10th (6pm to 8pm) and Sunday, March 16th (7pm to 9pm)!! They are called "Climbing: An Introduction to Advanced Concepts" and you can check them out here.
Tuesday through Friday - 5pm to 9pm
Saturday - 1pm to 5pm
Sunday - 3pm to 7pm

Spring Break Hours: Our last day open will be Thursday February 27. We will reopen Tuesday March 11 (Monday class will begin on the 10th).

Fall and Winter at MRock: Lots of exciting things are coming to MRock for the Fall and Winter semesters. As always, new routes will be up throughout the terms. Also, semester passes are being sold for $65. This includes access all semester, 3 complimentary guest passes, and 15% off at Moosejaw! If you do not belong to the IMSB you can buy a Winter MRock pass for $125 and that will give you access to the building during our open hours! These non-member passes must be purchased at one of the Rec Sports business offices during their open hours and will be available starting September 3rd. Please refer to the Facilities page for opening and closing information for the IMSB.
The MRock Climbing Wall offers opportunities to learn or develop your rock climbing skills and technique for just $5 a day. Gear rentals are included. Semester passes are normally available for $65.
Top-Ropping Classes are offered on a walk-in basis starting at:
Tuesday thru Friday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm
Saturday - 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm
Sunday - 3:30pm, 4:30pm, and 5:30pm
Bouldering Classes are always available; they take ten minutes.

This year, MRock is holding a week of competitions, games, movies, and raffles, instead of just one day! The week will start with a free day on Sunday, March 23rd. There will be a breakdown of events every day (shown below), and an onsight boulder competition will be held on Thursday, the 27th. The week will be capped off on Saturday, March 29th, with a Movie Night and raffle, co-hosted by MOOSEJAW!
Participation in any or all days of Boulder Fest will cost $20 for members of the IM building, excluding the onsight competition. The $20 registration will include an MRock tee-shirt! Register early to guarantee your size!
Nonmember fee TBD.
The onsight competition will cost $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers of the IM building.
Every activity that you participate in will earn you one raffle ticket. Winning events will earn you more. Raffle tickets will not be for sale - they can only be acquired through participation.

Sunday, March 23rd - FREE CLIMBING!!
Open from 3 to 7pm, all gear and classes included. Anyone can come climb at MRock for free and get a preview of some of the awesome prizes that will be given away during the raffle.
Monday, March 24th - Closed for Umove classes
Tuesday, March 25th - MRock games and Route Setting Clinic
5pm- 7:30pm Take Away Game
We will be playing a literal game of take away - removing the actual holds from the wall!
7:30-9pm Route Setting Clinic
Learn the basics of route setting! This will be a great class for those interested in the route setting competition later in the week.
Wednesday, March 26th - How Strong Are You?
Come to MRock to show everyone how strong you are!
7:00 - 9pm Dyno, Campus, Pull-up, and Deadhang Competitions
Thursday, March 27 - Onsight Competition
Registration starting at 5pm, Competition starting at 6pm.
This is a competition for our intermediate to advanced climbers. Routes will be set from V2 - Vhard depending on division.
Friday, March 28 - Route Setting Competition
5-5:30 Setting instruction (mandatory if you wish to participate in the setting competition and you did not participate on Tuesday)
5:30-9 Come show your creative side and set a route at MRock, to be entered into Saturday's competition if you wish!
Saturday, March 29 - Route Voting, Movie Night, and Raffle
Climb all the new routes that you set and vote on which ones you like best. This will be followed by a movie night sponsored by Moosejaw and a raffle with big prizes!! The movie will run from 5pm to 7pm.

*All climbers must be belay and/or boulder certified by MRock Staff to climb at MRock. A bouldering class, belay class or a belay test will be necessary on your first visit to MRock, depending on climbing experience.
