Intramural Sports

Get out there and have some fun! You can form a team and join an intramural league with weekly matches. Or, if you don’t want to commit to a season of play, you can opt to participate in our tournaments. In any case, intramurals are an opportunity to get active, have fun and meet some like-minded friends. Want to play, but can’t find a team? You can join as a Free Agent.

Fall 2024 Sports & Fees

There are 3 Seasons. Expand all into a list.

Maize Season
Formerly Fall A

Dates:

  • Pre-Season Pass Sales: August 1st – September 1st
    • Pass sales will close for day 1 & 2 of registration to allow pre-sales to register
  • Registration: September 2nd – 9th
  • Regular Season Round Robin:  September 15th – October 4th
  • Playoffs: October 3rd – 25th
  • Divisions Available: Competitive, Recreational, Social

Pricing: All passes are available on our webstore and must be purchased before you can register for a sport or team.

  • Fall Maize Pass: $20 per person for access to only the sports offered during the Fall 2024 Maize Season
  • Semester Pass: $60 per person for access to all offered sports during the Fall 2024 Semester
    • Use code “IMF24” for $10 off a semester pass
      • Valid From August 1st – August 23rd

Offered Sports (self-officiated):

Victors Season
Formerly Fall X

Dates:

  • Pre-Season Pass Sales: August 1st – September 8th
    • Pass sales will close for day 1 & 2 of registration to allow pre-sales to register
  • Registration: September 9th – 16th
  • Regular Season Round Robin:  September 22nd – October 31st
  • Playoffs: November 3rd – 25th
  • Divisions Available: Competitive, Recreational

  • Fall Victors Pass: $40 per person for access to only the sports offered during the Fall 2024 Victors Season
  • Semester Pass: $60 per person for access to all offered sports during the Fall 2024 Semester

Blue Season
Formerly Fall B

Dates:

    • Pass sales will close for day 1 & 2 of registration to allow pre-sales to register
  • Registration: October 14th – 21st
  • Regular Season Round Robin:  October 27th – November 15th
  • Playoffs: November 17th – Dec 9th
  • Divisions Available: Competitive, Recreational, Social

  • Fall Blue Pass: $20 per person for access to only the sports offered during the Fall 2024 Blue Season

League Structure

We are implementing a new division structure for this upcoming year!

Sports will be offered in a variety of leagues (Men’s, Women’s, Co-Rec, Grad/Fac/Staff, or Open) depending on the size of the sport and the demand.

Within these leagues, we will have a new division breakdown that allows participants to better choose the competitive level that best fits their needs. You can find information on each of these divisions below!

There are 3 Division Types. Expand all into a list.

Competitive

This is our highest level of competition offered, and is for those players and teams who are looking for higher levels of competitive games.

Players should expect to compete against other players or teams who have a familiar skill level or experience with the sport.

All teams or players will be eligible for playoffs and the chance to compete for a championship.

Recreational

This is our traditional level of competition for students that is both a mix of the social and competitive atmospheres.

Skill levels can vary from brand new to very experienced, but the emphasis is on those who are looking to enjoy the game/competition while socializing or being around others.

All teams or players will be eligible for playoffs and the chance to compete for a championship.

Social

This division is a new addition for Fall 2024!

This division is focused on broadening our offerings to be more inclusive of those who may be new to the sport and don’t care about wins or losses, or those who love the game but just want to play for fun.

Social divisions are to make friends, have fun, and increase one’s social and physical well-being.

Please Note

  • This division will not have any playoffs or a chance to compete for a championship, but will have a longer regular season, compared to other division formats.
  • Social divisions are not offered in Victors’ seasons

All league registration takes place on Fusion Play, which is available via the App Store or Google Play Store.

How to Purchase a Season Pass
  1. Click here to go to our webstore
  2. Click on Intramural Sports Passes.
  3. Sign in with your UM-Credentials, or membership account
  4. Once you’re logged in or have created an account, select the season pass you’d like to purchase, and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
How to log in to Fusion Play
  1. Download Fusion Play via the App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Log in to Fusion Play with your UM-Credentials or the email you used to purchase your season pass
    1. If you are logging in with non-UM-credentials, check your receipt from your season pass purchase for the group code to enter
  3. Once logged in, be sure to head to your profile, and update your information

Free Agents

Looking for a team to play with? Need more players to fill your team?

Free Agent status is identified as participants who do not already have a team but want to join one.

Free Agents – log in to Fusion Play, find the sports and leagues you are interested in joining, and add yourself to the Free Agent list. Also, check out Fusion Play for Free Agent teams that individuals can join. You can also try and find a team by using the Intramural Discord.

Team Captains – search through Free Agent lists to find more teammates after your team is registered.

There are instructions for both Free Agents and Captains within these videos.

Policies and Rules

All Intramural Participants are expected to read and abide by the Intramural Sports Policies and Sport Rules.

The purpose of the Policies and Rules is to ensure an equitable and enjoyable experience is possible for all participants and staff members. Explanation of the SRS point system is outlined in the on the policy page.
